Letters for Heroes Project

What an honor to support heroes that have made sacrifices and send them some positive words to celebrate their birthday, share laughs to brighten their day or letters to show encouragement and support to continue pushing through any obstacles that comes up along their day. We provide opportunities for everyone to do a little and make a much bigger impact then we could alone. We made it easy to post a message online to be added in the cards given each month to our heroes! Facebook page to share and post.

February 2019 we motivated multiple schools, families, and businesses to give back to a military hero and our favorite 100 year old Harold. We are still receiving messages of other groups still interested in making his birthday one he will never forget. He is always looking for something to do or read so please continue supporting Harold and wishing him more amazing years to come!

March 2019 we are excited to inspire others to let Office Tim Jones know we support him and have not forgotten about him. He was seriously injured while serving on the Park Forest Police Department and despite what doctors said he is pushing limits and making progress and we would love any support in sharing his story and getting as many letters of support we can to make him smile even brighter this year on the day that changed his life forever!

SERVICE PROJECT THAT KEEPS GIVING (JAIDA)

Jaiden Henry inspired even more touching the hearts and challenging others to be a part of making a difference. Chicago Youth Programs hosted their 4th Annual Washington Park Arts Festival and Jaiden was their inspirational speaker and connected a service project that keeps giving! This one of a kind project helps employ disabled veterans, connects kids and families to being creative and even writing a personal letter to veterans and then all photo frames made get shipped to military members all over! This was Kid Possible Worldwide and JAIDA’s first project with so many more to come!

We challenge any teacher, principal, coach, group leader, or student to connect us with their school, team, job or church so we can inspire more to be a part of making amazing happen for our heroes!

Warm Winter Items

Chicago during the winter can be extremely cold especially for those that are homeless. We have partnered with SocialWorks and All Kids Matter Foundation to help close the gap on items needed to keep the homeless warm during the coldest of days. We are always in need of warm items such as hats, gloves, scarfs, jackets, blankets and tents. We do our best to collect items and distribute them along with delicious warm food to the homeless numerous times throughout the year. Join us and help make a donation big or small. Together we will make a bigger difference!

Toy Drive

Jaiden Henry’s Annual Toy Drive completed another successful year. We have donated over 10,600 toys to kids in multiple hospitals and military families in need. Jaiden remembers vividly what it is like being in the hospital during a holiday and wants to be the volunteer someone once was for him. He knows how a complete stranger can brighten the face and heart of another so continues to provide this amazing event to make sure no child is forgotten about. Help us in providing smiles to thousands of little boys and girls during a time of need!

Military Veterans

There are numerous ways to support our military veterans and their families. We provide numerous events each month to honor and support military veterans with resources, proactive projects making a difference in their community and projects to volunteer together serving their community here at home. There is no better way to say thank you then to roll up your sleeves and serve along side a hero. We have teamed up with The Mission Continues to support the amazing events and work they do every month. Like Jaiden says “If everyone does a little, we can make a bigger difference!”
